Seasonal roles With Alp Leisure Ltd

Chalet Manager

The Chalet Manager is responsible for the efficient management and running of the property, overseeing all guest activities whilst in resort with us and generally ensuring that guests are being well cared for and all their needs are being met.  The job also includes accounting to a high level, billing guests at the end of their stay, organising any in-resort transport requirements, serving food and wine, booking restaurants. The Manager is also responsible for ensuring the property is spotless and well maintained (assisted by the rest of the chalet and maintenance team).

Chef

The Chalet Chef is responsible for preparing meals for guests according to their requirements.  As guests pay for the food at cost at the end of the week they can have as many or as few courses as they wish.  Before guests arrive in the resort we identify what they require, including any specialities, so the Chef needs to be flexible, experienced and creative as each week can present a different challenge.  The job includes menu planning and budgeting for each new group of guests plus shopping for, preparing and cooking; breakfast, afternoon tea, evening meal and (if requested) kids suppers and lunch.  Hygiene is of upmost importance and the kitchen and storage areas need to be kept spotless at all times. The Chef works alongside the Chalet Manager assisting in all aspects of running the chalet.  It can be highly demanding at times, but with every opportunity to show case your skills and make fantastic contacts.

Chalet Host

Our Chalet Hosts are primarily conscientious housekeepers who will clean bedrooms and bathrooms to the highest standard each day and are also on hand to help serve/clear away breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner if necessary and assist with a deep clean on changeover day.  The job includes cleaning bathrooms, bedrooms and communal areas, doing some laundry, ironing etc (although all chalet linen is sent to a professional laundry) and being on hand to cover any staff illnesses.

In-resort Chauffeur

Our Chauffeurs need to be punctual, smart, customer orientated and hard working.  We look for people with mountain/snow  driving experience and who are able to maintain our company vehicles to the highest standard both inside and out.  You are an integral part of a chalet team and are responsible for  providing an in-resort service for the guests on a daily basis plus some basic maintenance duties such as stacking logs and clearing drives and communal areas of snow during the winter.

* All seasonal roles can be for single applicants or couples and all live-out in their own apartments.  Applicants who get through the initial interview stages may be asked to do a trade test, cooking lunch or dinner for around 8/10 guests.

Maintenance Team

The Maintenance Team are part of our brilliant “behind the scenes” support staff.  They ensure the smooth running of the properties year round making sure any issues are dealt with straight away, keeping all chalets, pools, Jacuzzis and gardens to the high standard we require.  From snow clearing and log stacking to painting and carpet cleaning, our team is always on hand with a smile and a strong pair of hands.  Relevant experience is required, as is a flexible and independent spirit, with a ‘can do’ attitude and attention to detail.  This is a year-round position.
