Our chefs tailor their menu to your tastes and requirements; so whether you want a full gastronomic affair, classic local specialities, simple, tasty comfort food or a set 'menu fixe' you can relax in the knowledge that you will only be paying for what you really want.
Our aim regarding the culinary aspect of your holiday is that you are in complete control. We don’t insist our guests have a full cooked English style breakfast every morning, or a 4 course supper with canapés and cheeseboard - many of our regular guests actually prefer to alternate between starter/main and main/dessert throughout the week, as they find 3 or 4 courses each night just too much.
How It Works
Your personal chef will be happy to cater to your individual requests. Whether you have specific dietary requirements or a special diet that must be kept even on holiday; or if you have a special occasion such as an anniversary, birthday or any celebration, your chef can create your favourite dish or come up with something extraordinary!
Our Customer Services manager will contact you a few weeks before your arrival to discuss all your food and drink requirements and dietary needs. You will have already received a copy of your chef's signature menu by email and any amendments you wish to make, any dishes you would like to add or take away can be discussed during this telephone conversation. This discussion is important to everyone, as the information will be passed on to your chef who will then prepare your weekly menu based on the details provided and shop accordingly.
How Much Will It Cost?
As the menu is specifically tailored to you and your party, you just pay the actual cost of your grocery bills at the end of your holiday. The final amount will depend on your choice of food and number of courses; on whether you return for lunch (a very popular and cost-effective option) or invite guests for dinner, but an average price guide is around €160 per person per week. Generally though, as our chefs don’t have to work to the usual strict budgets that most luxury chalet and villa companies impose, the cuisine is of the highest standard and we can use local, seasonal produce and the finest ingredients.
Menu Fixe
However, if you prefer the idea of a simple, fixed cost menu for the week we can propose our 'menu fixe' for €100 per person and €80 for children under 12. This price covers a set weekly menu comprising breakfast for 7 days and afternoon tea and dinner for 6 days - however if you choose this option, we can't also offer 'freedom to choose'.
Staff Day Off
The chef and chalet manager have one day off a week when you can sample one of the many local 'eateries'. Choose from a large selection of bars, cafés and restaurants, serving many types of cuisine. From pizzerias and fondues to beach side cafes to keep the children happy or Michelin starred restaurants – you will find something to suit every palate. Your manager will be happy to help you choose a suitable restaurant and also to recommend restaurants for lunch.
